I’m on my fire cape grind. I’ve never owned a fire cape in this game before, so I’m excited and a bit nervous too, because the waves towards the end look intimidating. Following a Youtube video that recommends 70 Ranged, so I figured I’d train some Slayer exclusively with Ranged. Man, Slayer is quite a grind but I’m being pretty consistent at it, and it does seem to be working. I do some rooftop agility courses to farm some Marks of Grace, whenever I get bored with the Slayer grind.
However, getting a fire cape wasn’t one of my original goals when I started out. I wanted to get my very first quest cape. After spending a good chunk of my grind doing most of the quests, I was left big the big ones, like Song of the Elves, Sins of the Father, the latter of which I was stuck on. The final boss fight was way too difficult for me with level 85 combat. And that started the whole snowball-effect of me trying to improve my gear, to me trying for the fire cape, to training ranged to slayer. Here’s to hoping I won’t forget my original goal once I finally get my cape!
